Gloriously sunny here, off for a quick blast before work @ 2pm. Thinking the Horseshoe pass/Ponderosa cafe will be a good bet for ogling at shiny bikes/amazing views and brilliant twisties.

I overtook two cars and a camper van when I took my Bullet down horseshoe pass.

Didn't even have the engine on.

Laughing Gravity assistance. Fastest it'll go short of shoving it off a cliff!

Brave Man, brave indeed!

I wouldn't have liked to try it, reliant purely on the drum brakes for retardation!

Did that round there in my old Series III Landy oil burner once......
Drum brakes, 'manifold' vacuum (read NIL) servo assistance....
Did a few trails over the top before hand, and puddle water was boiling off the wheel hubs the brakes were so hot dispsite the engine braking of an old 18:1 compression 1 1/4 Diesel engine through low box!

I never been impressed with Horseshoe pass. This was always much more fun. Good road surface too.

Well, I only ended up getting as far as llangollen, due to traffic/time restraints. But it was a few moments of freedom in todays fantastic weather. Bikes having a change of c&s on Monday, then ill be out a bit more over the holidays, takin pics wherever possible Mr. Green

Charlie, ill make sure I try that one first. Really am lucky living where I do, so many fantastic roads... just not quite enough time to ride em all!
