I've decided to sell my 1988 XR250, it's been sat in my garage for a while now and since i've just got my own place i could do with clearing out some stuff.

About the bike, it's a 1988 XR250, i bought it from Kornel (admin on here) in 2007 with the intention of tidying it up and going greenlaning on it. So far it has had:

Blasted & Powder coated frame (matt black)
Complete set of new bearings, including wheel, linkage and headstock
New piston and rebore
Rebuilt forks with new seals, oil and gaitors
New handle bars and grips
New throttle cable

There are a few things still left to do on the bike but she starts and rides, however like i said there are still a few problems that wont cost a lot to put right but just need some time which i don't have.

The front light needs wiring, it needs a speedo (bike computer will do for the MOT), the sump bolt needs retapping or plugging it could probably do with a new gasket on the head, like i said it runs fine but would probably be good to get a new one because it wasn't changed. It also needs a new inner tube on the back wheel.

It will also need a new set of hand guards, i brought some new ones from ebay but they supplied two right hand guards, i've put them both on but they don't look right.

It had a new set of Michelin tyres a few months ago so that's something else that won't need to be bought, i also fitted a brand new tool/accessories bag at the back.

The bike isn't perfect but it wouldn't take much to turn it into a nice little road legal enduro or field bike.

If you have any questions please ask via PM.

I have the V5 available and the bike is currently SORN'd because of the sump i wouldn't advise riding it a long distance, it's probably best to be picked up. Please don't bother if you're expecting a pristine bike, it's an old dirt bike that has been tidied up a lot but there are still a few things to do on it. There are probably a few more little bits to do but i can't remember anything, like i said this bike will need a bit of time spent on it.

I'm looking for £350.

I've included a pic of the bike so far:
