Hi guys.

I am having a bit of an issue with the front brakes on my ZZR600E. The main issue is that the lever will go soft and when the lever it pulled there is a bit of a clunk noise.

Literally a week ago I have had the pads out on both sides to attempt to fix this issue, all have plenty of meat on them. Pistons have been squeezed out with a screwdriver stopping them popping all the way, cleaned up and red rubber greased, copperslip on the back of the pads.

Then the brakes were bled the usual hose at the nipple way, starting with the caliper furthest away from the master cylinder, then to the other caliper. The lever was all tickly and tight.

It's back to shit again in the space of 5 days.

I split the calipers and replaced the seals 6 months ago although the bike has been ridden through winter. Should I split the calipers again and just reuse the seals?

Thanks guys.

See what condition the seals are in, if they're ok i'd reuse them. Unless it's cheap enough then i'd just replace them for peace of mind. As for the clunking are the bushes all ok?
All bolts tight on the discs and calipers?
Pads clips/pins correctly installed and in good condition?
