My mother is after an mp3 player and associated amplification device ( couldn't think of another word lol ) 20w+ I would think.

Something fairly easy to use would probalbly be best. So what's out there that would be suitable ?

the obvious choice is the stinkin ipod, not because i think the ipod is any good but because of all attachments you can for them,

although zune have a good range of speaker docks available,
the zen and sonyalso, but the range of speaker docks for them is about 2,

basically its a choice between apple and microsoft,

atleast the microsoft one doesnt try and take over your pc

Cheap Sony walkman phone and a charging dock with built in speakers worked well for me. Much cheaper than an iplop, although as said, accessory manufacturers seem to think the ipod is the only mp3 payer available.

Sony Ericsson MDS-60 Speakers (Dock with built speakers.

Sony Ericsson MPS75 Snap-On Speakers (portable).

Fast port connectors. Thumbs Up

The MDS60 is £10 on Amazon at the moment, don't know if it'll be loud enough though. It's for use in a hall, not home use.
