Well, I watched a film, or tried to illegally on a website. I forgot it's name now, but it can be found by searching 'Let me watch this' which is like a hub, and it embeds the film from other sites. I guess it serves me right for breaking the law! lOL.

Since then, my PC has crashed 10 times. My NOD keeps blocking a site that is shown as an IP address. I have used CC cleaner, and advanced system care. I am doing a scan now on a trial of Eset System security.

I tried watching the film yesterday. System restore done from 10 days ago. Still no luck really. Sometimes when I try to click on an .exe, it suggests to open with something.

Am I fucked and do I need to format?

I don't even have my Vista CD:s although the code is on my tower.

restart in safe mode with networking and have a play about with whats starting up etc.

Times like this a virtual machine is the way to watch/use dodginess online, you can just revert from a snapshot.

unplug your network cable/wireless card. people can hack/send/retrieve information if you are not connected to the interwebs.

use this as an excuse to wipe vista. if you are illegally watching films then i am sure you are not going to be too worried about using an illegal OS
