As some of you may know T.C is offering a 50% discount to mcnninjas. T.C has agreed to extend the offer to BCF. Very Happy

He will be charging £80 for the Day Per Person (min 2 up to a max of 4 riders) His fee's are normally £160 per person per day. Shocked

He's Based in Berkshire and is an Ex police Motorcycle instructor and a senior RoSPA advanced
examiner so the training is applicable to both Rospa and IAM (but the IAM pass certificate being the easier to attain than the Rospa ones).

I know some of you including myself disagree with some of T.C's views but the fact remains we can all learn a lot from him in terms of riding.

I'm sure spending £80 for this days training will be much better than spending money on some tarty bike add on or a track day.

I was thinking of booking the training for April (training only available on weekends), who wants to come along then?

Definately seriously think about it. Depends on funds but if I have the cash an advanced training course was definately on the cards anyway Very Happy

Can I ask if T.C. would mind a race can and small plate?

I would be up for it but had the same questions as Kris. Perhaps you could ask him and get back to us?

Me me me me me me me

It's a long way, but definately worth it Very Happy
Friends Mike and Pete did it last year for Mike's birthday and had a great time... including being issued with a fake speeding ticket from the officer who was training them so they wouldn't get properly done by a speed trap that had been set on the route....

The way you ride is more important than whether you have a small plate or a race can, but in any case, if it is sunny on the day I will be wearing my black visor Wink

Very Happy Nice one.

Just wondering if you'll have any influence if we get stopped and have our bikes checked en-route by the police? I presume you're no longer a serving officer - so will the fact you're teaching us have any bearing on whether we're stopped/let off for having so called 'vehicle defects'?

Quality, put me down. £80 is a small price to pay and my bike has enough tarty bits on it anyway so the money would surely be better spent on this. Smile

The very fact your taking extra training will look good if your stopped. But if your worried just stick on a standard plate and if you got a stock plate with only a race can you should* be fine.

*I accept no liability if are done for the race can. Wink

Want a arrange a date then Drew?

I have no influence these days as I have been out too long, however, I should point out that whilst I don't have a problem with small plates, loud cans, black visors and so on, the bike should still be in a safe condition.

The fact that you choose to ride with small plates and loud cans (although not a problem as far as I am concerned) really is down to the choice you make, therefore if you do get stopped, then you have to deal with it at the time. Sorry! Confused

Not too easy when you haven't got a standard can and original cheap ones are as rare as rocking horse shit Confused Don't worry though - I'm happy taking calculated risks - just so long as I know what the risks are Very Happy

Cheers T.C. - I'll get in touch to arrange something this year.

When I did the course with the police the only thing they checked for was that all the lights worked properly and that the horn worked. They weren't bothered about race cans etc. Smile

I'm certainly interested, any advanced training session is always worth doing - even if you only learn one thing!
Unfortunately we will have to wait until May or June as we are buggering off for pretty much all of April. Cool

Providing the bike is safe, I am not bothered whether it puts out 5BHP or 500. Restrictors do not stop you from learning new techniques.

I think Luke was asking if you mind if someones bike is on a restricted license and thier bike isn't restricted?

And TC I believe is saying he don't care as long as the bike is safe, he's said if you get stopped and your not "legal" thats your problem.

Why when I wrote TC do I just think of Top Cat. Laughing

Ah, that is different, because not only are they riding without a licence, they also have no insurance, in which case, no sorry, I can't help. Once the restriction has finished or they get a restricted bike, then fine.

I don't wan't to get done for aid and abet/permit no licence and no insurance. Sorry!

Maybe... I dunno, he said "Restrictors do not stop you from learning new techniques." and the question is more regarding the lack of restrictors Smile
