I've seen a couple of the ugly things out on the roads, and no, I don't think they are as fast as an RS50.

It'll o about 35mph like the other 50cc's only cost 3 times more! ha

They did put that back end on the RS50. Then they upgraded it to more of the bumblebee shaped ones you currently get. All 50's are crap. End of.

It's got the same engine as an Aprilia Rs50 (Minarelli AM6 engine) so unless there's any major differences in exhaust design's or any big advantage's in its aerodynamics (or Coefficiency of Drag, CoD if I wanted to be smart hehe) then the 2 should be very similar in power. Same goes for the latest Reiju RS2 Matrix as it has the same engine, and the Peugeot thing - XR6 I think - is identical to the Moto Hispania RX.

Ofcourse though, due to emission laws the exhaust port's on all these bikes has gotten smaller by about 20% so reducing power from the end of 2002 onwards, so if you really do want a sports style 50cc and want the quickest in the area get an older model, the old shape Rs50's with a single sided swing arm are said to be quicker than the newer shape aswell due to a bigger carb. Plus you save money buying second hand and it doesn't matter as much if it goes down the road, though most on here say get an old crosser style bike like a DT50, I'd personally say wait until you're 17 if you can and get a restricted 125 (Mito, Rs, NSR, RG or TZR) and then get it de-restricted once you're used to it...
