Yeah lol, but it helped when we did the forks and all that.

We had the time to, and i now know more about my bike from seeing how it all goes in and how it all works so I've learnt somethings from it all Thumbs Up

Looks spot on, top job Thumbs Up

BTW are they the original wheels? They're the exact same as my 2000 SV one. Didn't know they used the same on the GS500.

looks spot on mate. Ive got a GS00 too, i think ill end up doing a complete strip aswell, only ive been told the piston rings need changing too which somewhat complicates things further. Was the Engine a pain to take out? Because i need to do a bit of paintwork on the frame so if removing the engine is a doddle that would make life much easier

Well yeah in some ways, getting all the body off, disconnecting all the elelctrics and all that is easy enough. It's the taking out of the engine that's a pain in the arse! Me, not having a table to higher my bike on, had a bit of a hard time getting it back in, it's okay getting it out, just support it with some wood or whatever, but putting it back.... let's just say there was a good hour trying to put it back in, i was just lucky i didn't drop the engine and scratch it all Thumbs Up

Although all i did was change the oil filter, put in a new sprocket, both of which i could have done with the engine in! It felt good getting to know the parallel twin, and how my bike works a bit more. Also, knowing it's all clean makes me feel better when driving Laughing

Good luck buddy Thumbs Up
