Hey guys, during a recent clutch renovation i noticed that the gear selector leaver weas not selecting any gear.

On closer inspection i have found that the selector rod not only moves up and down, but also in and out!??? in the fully out position it does select gears as normal, but when it is pushed in i does not work at all.

what stops the rod from moving in and out, is there a c clip missing somewhere externally ?

i know i might have to strip it down but was wondering if there is anything obvious i should be checking

any advice would be appreciated
