I was just reading an article on the BBC News website about a program that when it is fed information could potentially predict major world events.

I found it fascinating and it must have been one hell of an algorithm to plot the graph and map the outcome across the globe as well. I thought it was quite interesting.

They tried using computers to predict such things during Vietnam, it was an unmitigated disaster.
