Any suggestions on what this smell is coming from.

Went passed my son on the way home told me he could smell burnt toast and i got a small whiff of it when i got off the bike.

I checked and cannot find any bread so guess somthing eslse.

Any suggestions.

If it helps i just came back from the town 1 mile away if that and not going over 5k revs.

Seems smooth enough nothing that i am aware of , unless it is my neighbour having beans on toast never thought to ask.

What bike?

Really hot oily metal can sometimes have a kind of toasted smell.

Yup, that's the smell of hot oil. You might have a leak somewhere that's getting oil onto the exhaust under the engine and giving off a stink.

I did wonder why I had a gif of toasters in my pictures file.
Strange the things one collects on one's wanderings, innit.
I have NO idea about Linux, I just liked the picture.

I wrapped two sausage rolls in silver foil and tied them to the exhaust manifold of the van one day to heat them up for my lunch.
They were absolutely delisheeous with my milky-coffee & two-sugar out the Thermos.
My Point.
The van was reeking of hot sausage roll for weeks after.
Put me off sausage rolls for ages that did.

Are you not feeling like you want to eat toast now?
Is that wot you're saying?
