Motorhispania Furia Max - lock question

A question for someone who has or had a furia Max.

My daughter has just had her bike stolen and, since there are no remnants of the chain lying around, we assume that some scallywags lifted it onto the back of a truck and drove off with it

Naturally the insurance company is refusing to pay out , in this case because that they say that the steering lock was not engaged. Leaving aside the fact that a steering lock would not have helped stop the theft, I cannot actually recall seeing a steering lock fitted to this bike.

If anyone can actually tell me for certain whether this is the case it will be of great help when I start the second round of the attempt to actually get some of the premiums we paid back.
