My speedo will only occasionally and i've determined it's the drive not the cable. I can't understand why sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't - could there be a loose connection between the cable and the drive? Does anyone know why it's doing this and how to fix it? Thanks

Err, it would be helpful if you told us what bike it is that you are having the problem with.

haha sorry mate, completely forgot about that! It's a 2003 Derbi Senda SM, I took the speedo drive off opened it up and could clearly see that something wasn't right. I've ordered a new drive now so don't worry about it!
