Hi Guys
I have a Honda XR125 and am going to buy a sat nav for it.
As motorcycle sat navs are so expensive i was going to go for a car one and attach it to a 12v cigarette lighter adapter socket to power it. And also buy either a small tank bag for it to slot into or a motorcycle carrier case to put onto the handlebars (these will stop any vibrations right?)
The issues are, is this all i need for it? As i've seen on other websites people saying things about an 'inline fuse'?
And also will my little old battery cope with the extra need for power?
Thanks in advance to any answers |

Battery will be just fine, and most of the ciggy adapters have a fuse in them anyway. The inline fuse is usually to protect the wiring of the adapter socket if it's taken directly from the battery. If a wire gets trapped it could cause a lot of heat, the fuse would prevent that. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
