Hi,

I have got a Derbi sender r 100 just sitting in my garage and thought its about time i started using it to get to work ( as the price of petrol soars).....now it has been sitting there for about 3 years.... after buying a new battery and changing the spark plug i managed to get it started late last year, it was very spluttery when reving and seemed to not get up to full power in any gear ( when i took for test drive up and down street)..... but then a week later i came to start it up again and it wudnt kick start so i checked the spark plug and it appeared to be covered in oil so i cleaned it and popped it back in but still nothing so i took it out agin and it was the same, wet and covered in what seemed like oil.

Any ideas what this is....or even better anyone local to walsall could give me a hand fixing it?

i dont mind paying Very Happy

I would do the following,
New Fuel
Clean Carb
New Plug
Charged Battery

If after that it wont start, check the plug is sparking if not try another plug if that also fails to start look into the electricals.
