My girl loved being out on the back so I'm wanting to buy her some proper gear, most likely textile bottoms first the will look at jackets as she can use mine. But being only 4ft 11.5" she is pretty short. Any ladies around her got any advice on what might fit her? She is normally a 10-12 for jeans but buys a short leg and gets them taken up an inch haha

As a general rule of thumb, buying an specific ladies gear is a little tricky!

However, the range available to us ladies is increasing so you should be able to find something to fit her. If there are any bike specific shops near you give those a go. Hein Gericke have (had?) a small ladies section with a few jackets and trousers so she can go and try some stuff on to get an idea of fit.

Best bet is the interwebs though. Helmet city (here) has a whole range of ladies stuff. They also have three shops dotted around the country (Surrey, West Sussex, Dorset) and have always been incredibly helpful to me in the past. I use the one in Surrey from time to time and have always found that they keep a lot of stock in different sizes.

The place where I found a one-piece race leather set was GirlsBike2 in Hitchin (here). They specifically cater for ladies and if they don't have what she is after in the shop they will order it in and then post it to you. Loads to try on (if you can get to the shop) in a range of sizes and styles and they know their stuff. I rode there on my bike so couldn't take my new leathers home with me, they boxes them up there and then and booked them in for next day delivery before I left, arrived my midday the following day. I can't remember the woman's name but she was fab Thumbs Up

This might be a daft suggestion, I dunno, but if shes that dinky then perhaps there would be some kids sizes that fit her?

I too had trouble finding ladies clothing that fitted, and that didn't have pink swirls or floral patterns on Rolling Eyes I ended up buying everything from Hein Gerrike. Wasn't cheap though.

Thanks, I had thought about the junior suggestion but doubt her curvy butt will fit with them haha.
