Ok my friend has bought some chinese pingpong Trialacross thing.
Only markings really say x-stream?
Its from a farm up the road from him so its been well bummed and probably never serviced!

Its spluttering when you wind it and not reaching full revs, also backfiring at higher revs, starts and runs on low revs lovely and you can ride it around as long as you dont want to blast it.
It seems to have a none chinese carb on it as the carb looks better quality to the rest of the engine.
Also the carb looks a bit naff fitted, but it ran fine for the first few hours, winding up to full revs and whizzing around without bother so the carb must be ok for the engine.

Im thinking: Air leak, Carb jets, or just a knackered carb?
I have taken the tank off, emptied it and cleaned it out with fresh petrol for him but thats about it.
Where would you guys start?

Thanks.

Lit rag in the petrol tank, insurance claim.

Upon further inspection & a bit of goooogling it would seem its a kinroad xt125 engine, I have been searching for some form of workshop manual for download but having no luck.
Dont suppose anyone has one or knows of a download?

First things first, if your getting a spluttering problem, change to a brand new plug and make sure its correct for the bike, and then put some fresh fuel in it, and also, if your looking for a manual, just go for the haynes, its going to cost but its very good.
