Happens to the best of us Smile.

If it was a country road then there's many things that can cause you to slide. When you say 'wheels locked', if this is actually locked up, then I'm sorry but it's you or your bike's fault.
Diseal and many other sliperry things you can find on the roads will cause the wheel to dlip, and thus usually spin faster.

Unfortunately, while we tend to try and blame stuff (and I'm no different Smile ), what it usualy comes out is that we were riding too fast for the conditions.

One of my mates done the same thing on his bike over the xmas holidays. Driving down the road and came off at 50mph. He said the back wheel locked up as he tapped the back brake. Apparenlty the place where it is getting repaired said it was because he was adjusting the chain tension too much without adjusting the rear brake and caused it to lock on the slightest press.

Well The Fairings got pretty trashed (all fixed now, never used so much fiber-glass P-40 in me life) also the right hand side hanger snapped, the back break master-cylinder got bent, and the exhaust weld snapped. It took 3 days to finish repairs + some mods I had put-off doing. Bit more causious on the breaks now but they don't feel "right" have to get them checked over. It probibly was my fault but the breaks have never locked the wheel-up with so little pressure on them b4. Normally got to put some effort in to cause a stoppy or a skid. That is why I thought it may have been a slippy patch of road. But hell I only had a few bruses, so I was "lucky".
