Sorry, I'm a little slow on catch up, but have just seen the Monza WSB race...how the heck can the race officials justify that ride through penalty?? I think they must have been secret Melandri fans...

His body language alone suggested he didn't do it to gain advantage!!! Why the heck didn't they just knock off the time, and let him finish the race. Rolling Eyes

IMO he did take the mick. As the commentators said, if he'd have rolled off the gas for a count of two then pinned it, it would have been OK, but he didn't, he gave a quick glance over his shoulder and then pinned it. Perfectly justified penalty IMO.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Every other rider went to the briefing in the morning that told them exactly this would happen if they did it. He sent a lackey in his place. nuff said, timing showed he gained an advantage. Totally justified in my view.

He's still one beautifully stylish rider, shame about him being a gobshite though.
