20k miles on the clock and not bad condition considering

Only ridden it about 40 miles back from where I got it which was all dual carriageway but it's like a sofa compared to the ZX6 Laughing

Yum, S2, or S4R?

I want the one with the 999 motor. Think it's the S4RS or something.

S2R 800, you can get an air cooled 1000 as well but if I had the money it would be an S4RS (999 motor) Drooling

You can get S4R at okay prices (998 motor)

Nice to know roughly what it would feel like to ride, what with my bike sharing virtually everything. So if you front-end it...can i have the swinging arm as i know it fits straight on the ST2. Mr. Green

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

IMO Jap bikes don't sell for looks alone, but there are some nice ones for me. I just don't know the names, but have seen them.

Their main selling point is price, performance and reliability.

Heck they are getting expensive now, but the European bikes are more, and will have to be serviced properly to even get people to offer good money if you sell second hand.

Triumphs are generally cheaper than Japanese bikes brand new at the moment, and the BMW S1000RR is cheaper than the Yamaha R1 for example. Even Ducati's aren't badly priced compared to Japanese bikes.

ALL bikes should be serviced properly to keep their value second hand, not just Japanese bikes. If Triumphs and BMW's aren't as reliable as Japanese bikes, they are very very close to it. Ducati reliablity has improved immensely over the last fifteen years too.

I actually think the Japanese need to start watching their backsides because the Europeans are coming back in a big way.

Looks OK until your eyes are drawn to the huge pus-filled carbuncle* under the rear brake lever.
