Hi there if anyone can help me it would be much apprecitaed...i have got a monkey bike and i have put a stomp 140 engine in it, but when i ride down the road and pull the clutch in and roll for a bit the chain starts making loads of funny noises and it keeps making me jerk and when you get of the bike and put it in gear if you push the bike slightly foward the clutch kicks in and jolts and stops..iv tightened the chain and then over tightened it and it still does it, iv losened and tightened the clutch cable aswell and its still doing it, and when i sit on it and pull up behind a motor it nearly jolts me in to the back of it...Thanks Jay

Is your chain fully lubed up with no tight spots and is it aligned properly so that it runs straight....the fact that it's making noises suggests not.

Have you tried adjusting the clutch at the engine side or only at the lever.

So you have two problems from your description.

1 you have a clutch dragging issue 2 your getting noise from your chain

first make sure your clutch cable is free and adjusted correctly then check that your frame/swingarm and wheel are aligned properly

The chain needs to have an amount of play in it, if it's tight then thats what causing you problems. Don't know about your bike but mine needs 2.5 cm of up/down movement.

With the clutch I would try lubing the cable incase it is partially seized. On the chinese pitbike I used to own the clutch actuator rod was far too tight in the housing meaning that it wouldn't move properly causing simular problems. If you can't get the clutch to work properly on the cable and engine adjustment then I think a teardown is in order.

Change the oil to get that chicken chow mein oil out of it if it came with factory oil.
