Do you get a vote? Where I live we never get a card so we are not able to vote.
This has happened forever so we are used to it but it seems to bother other people. As far as I am concerned the area is so Respect Party it does not matter if I vote or not. Would you be bothered?

You don't need a card to be able to vote these days as long as you are on the electoral register. Just turn up with ID, you will be on the list. Thumbs Up

Me, I always vote. Women chained themselves to railings etc so I could.

As previously stated you don't need the card to vote, where I live I just turnt up, told them my name and voted whilst not being asked for ID.

If I didn't get a vote I wouldn't really be bothered.

No card needed.

You need name + address + maybe some ID if they ask for it

You do get a vote, you just couldn't be arsed to find out how and would rather feel victimised somehow. Another sheep. "It's the way it's always been". Rolling Eyes

Fail at provoking outrage. As everyone else seems to know, you don't need anything to vote with, so long as you are on the electoral role, and can confirm your address verbally at the polling station.

Yes, it would bother me if I couldn't. For what it is worth, I at least go along and scribble crap all over the ballot and post it in.

If you click this link you can apply to go on the electoral register, that way you will receive a polling card/be eligible to vote: https://local.direct.gov.uk/LDGRedirect/index.jsp?LGSL=364&LGIL=0

I did indeed vote, have mixed feelings about the outcome TBH. Saw this pic on a friend of mine's FB page, kinda sums up what's happened this side of the border;

https://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/223311_10150179908585823_675265822_7645720_6017984_n.jpg

I'm happy with that result, I just hope that now when we have the independence referendum that people actually vote with their heads (no) and that they aren't swayed by STV's decision to play Braveheart continually for the week before the vote...

As much as I would vote NO to independence, I think it would be "funny" to see how it would pan out if we did get it.

I am on the register (They are a pain if you do not bother filling in the form and send people to your house!).
I dare say that I could turn up and try to vote but there are three primary schools within 1/4 mile of my house that are used as polling stations and I have no idea which of them to use.

Cool, next time just go to this site and put your postcode in and it will tell you the address and phone number of your electoral registration office, you can call them and they will be able to help you with regard to polling stations etc: https://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/

No, what ballsed it all up was giving the vote to proles and povs, and letting any old oik shoulder their chip into Parliament. I'm just glad we've got some proper toffs running the place again: they might smash stuff up for larks, but at least they have the decency to throw a handful of guineas into the vomit on the floor.

Wally, I thought that you teacher bods were meant to be dead clever Wink
Although you do not vote personally, you may find that your vote has indeed been cast. In some areas it is quite common for voting cards to be stolen and used by somebody else.

I'm tired of the Scotish acting as if they are special and making threats of if we don't get what we want then we will become independent, so a referendum would be good. If they vote yes then they can GTFO I wont be missing them, if they No then they can STFU! I'm all for them having their referendum, but the rest of the UK should also get a referendum on whether they want to kick Scotland out or not, its only fair Wink

I think the SNP should consider carefully what tends to happen to small uppity oil-rich nations without a nukular deterrent.

Nice regime you've got here. It'd be a shame if anything... happened... to it.
