Hmm. Are you one of those ignorant young men who has no idea of the difference between China and Japan? ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

You will hear the term 'import' This means ike originally sold in another country, then brought to the UK by someone. So a bike might be made in japan then sold in germany then brought to the UK. That's all absolutely fine. Bikes like that CBR400 weren't sold int he UK as no one wanted a 400 as licencing laws meant if you could ride a 400, you could ride a 600 which is what most people do. In japan however the licence system works / worked differently and 400cc is the biggest you can ride without getting the advanced licence. But somebody thought people in the UK might want one of the 400's and imported them over here. As a result most have kph speedo's etc.
Chinese bikes are made in china and shipped all over the world. they are aweful, terrible, shit , appalling, nasty peices of horrible fucking shit. A japanese bike that would cost you £6000 new with £5000 of that goes on the parts for the bike. Well the chinese equivalent would cost for £700, with about £300 worth of parts going into it. A 1 year old chinese bike is probably going to be more broken and in worse condition than a 10 year old japanese bike.
Good bikes to buy: Honda, yamaha, suzuki, kawasaki, ducati, aprillia, bmw, triumph, cagiva, peugeot, piagio etc
If it has something like "shineray" written on the tank and your mate is selling if for £500 tell him to fuck right off. |
