Hi all!

This study is part of a university project to develop a multi functional helmet.
The helmet to be developed will have several features not present in current helmets such as the ability to show alerts on the visor.
This form will help us decide which features to include in the final product.
Link: Multi functional helmet

Thanks! (feedback is welcome)

I have not and would not spend £250 on a helmet. There was no option for less so I cancelled the survey.

Alerts on the visor? I watch the road not my visor. I'm a very unfocused individual, pretty distractions would kill me. Having said that, simple GPS directions on the visor would be cool. Just an arrow type thing. Oh and a heated visor (not a heated helmet). Laughing

I don't even know how much 250 euros is. So I cancelled it.

It's not just you, even professional pilots when confronted with a heads up display in a controlled simulated test, failed to observe things like other planes on the runway that they were trying to land on etc. Some of the pilots tested apparently expressed concern that they might not be safe to fly, as a result of missing such obvious stuff.

So the idea of having technologies like this on the roads, with the far less skilled members of the public using it, is quite frankly terrifying. If pilots can't see a damned plane through them then how the hell is Betty going to see my bike in front!

Who cares what features you include on-screen? You need to make the damn thing work first Laughing

Making a rough prototype of your system will pretty much constitute your final year project.
