Hey guys.
So after trying to sort out the powervalve on my RD 125lc I found my rings were on the way out. (Carbon/black stains below the bottom ring which means the bore is worn or the rings are right?)

I had a piston already so i used that rather than buying just rings.
So the cylinder went for a rebore and i have it back.

So my question, Ring Gap. Does anyone know what it should be or what would be recommended for a RD (Or a 125 2t in general)

It's a +1mm piston so i think it has a 57mm Bore size.
Thanks
Truzo.

Gas blowback is very common. Doesn't indicate excessive wear. If the bike is running nicely and still able to pull strongly, the bore, piston and rings are OK. I noticed some serious blackening to my RXS piston below the bottom ring when decoking the motor...105,000 miles ago and it's still in there, same rings, same everything, still going strong Laughing
