Some of them anyways.
Seeing as Chez blew the car up on tuesday we needed to get it to the garage. She called the breakdown people and the fella was here to collect about 8 this morning. After we loaded the car he asked where the garage was, I gave him the addy and he was still none-the wiser. He asked where Chez worked and if she knew the garage, I told him and he said he'd give her a lift to work from the garage and that he'd wait 20 mins, no problem, for her to get ready.
I invited him in for a coffee and we got chatting. Turns out he rides a green ZX12 and regularly visits Squires Very Happy We got chatting away about bikes and downgearing and stuff. When Chez got down we were both a bit reluctant to stop gabbing Very Happy
I think I attract bikers! Either that or there are a helluva lot more bikers out there than I realise.

Bikers just always seem to be nice people, I've been around bikers all my life with my dads' friends.

They can look scary, i.e no hair, tattoos, whatever, but they're always up for a chat.

I don't think bikers are any nicer than non-bikers, the only reason most bikers are happy to talk etc is because we share the same passion, therefore are friendly and happy to talk.

If the AA driver bloke was into car racing then you probably wouldn't have chatted so much... it's just that we share the same hobby so one biker will usualy want to talk to another biker about it in the same way that one horse rider would be talkative and friendly to another horse rider etc...

Just my opinion anyway Smile

I would disagree there Yams, because if you go to a bike rally, most people are great, like Demonic says up for a chat, laugh, etc., yet if you go to other events, like music festivals, concerts, etc., to name but a few, people aren't quite so friendly.

Now me, I'd strike up a conversation in an empty room, but I do see where he's coming from and I agree - bikers are lovely, especially the couple who stopped yesterday when my engine seized to see that I was okay!!! Thumbs Up

I agree a bit, but not completely, music is just.. music.. there isn't a great deal of conversation to be had about music... festivals are loud and people tend to be there to listen to the music rather than talk to people Penny CoinPenny Coin

Whereas bike meets, festivals etc are predominately for bikers who want to meet other bikers, talk about bikes, see bikes etc, and music and other entertainment is just a secondary "bonus" thing to the events...

I still stand by what I said, I used to have a mate with a Ferarri F355 Maranello and he took me to Goodwood and we went out on the track (hit 155 Very Happy - was a great day!) and all the people there were friendly, helpful, chatty etc.... and they's car drivers Wink

But if you were into rally driving , then the people at the rally course would have been considered as nicer Wink because you'd share the same interests Razz
