Evening Chaps,

The needle bearings were rotten in two holes and disintegrated into little brown bits while one that is sealed will not turn so i need to purchase three new bearings.

I've checked out CMSL's website for costs but also seen bearing websites (https://budgetbearings.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=555265 )
that only require you to enter the part no/type eg.HK etc and they seem very cheap (£2 plus P&P each.Just wondering what I should be requesting?

thanks for any help from those who have done this job thelmselves.

Sparky

(If there are any link's posted similar to my predicament then please post the link as i haven't had chance to check)

I always buy my bearings from specialist bearing places.
Most bike shops (dealers and the like) charge a fortune.

Honda wanted around £35 for a bearing for the CBR125 cam. Bearing station did one £2.59 and £1 postage, arrived, same stamps on and everything, Koyo MIJ.. perfect Tut Tut Bad Dealers Laughing

If you know thats the exact bearing you want, get them...wrong one, you lose £2.. not a big deal Laughing

Think you'll find the Bandit knuckle needle bearings are about the only ones on the bike you can't buy aftermarket as they are such a bastard size so you'll end up paying out like Bagger. Those you've linked from Budget bearings aren't the right ones.

Using the old socket/hammer trick, i've managed to move one of the middle bearings inwards and it now butts against the opposite bearing but now it won't budge. Anyone know if these bearing are completely round or tapered? if they are tapered that might explain why it won't budge further through to the side.
Can't budge the others so i'm close to surrendering this job to a workshop with a press machine, anyone done this themselves?

Got two quotes for a whole set of new bearings from Suzuki £100 or £239 for a new nuckle and all bearings apparently all fitted from factory.Bike was only £1k secondhand! bugger.

Hi

Wemoto list the bearing sizes and their prices are competitive:-

https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Suzuki/GSF_600_SX_Bandit/99/BEARINGS_-_SEAL_-_MONOSHOCK_LINKAGE/

Looking those up ones appears to be:-

Budget Bearings

Can't see the other 2 on your bearing site.

All the best

Keith
