Alright alright... so I know there is a WHOLE lot of debate to running bike in... but my bike is going back together with new rings and a rebore, so needs running in, It's an air cooled four stroke running on 20/50 oil.... can anyone set me up a realistic break in procedure?

Personally i would rag it from the off, or at least ride it normally.
Change the oil after 400 or 500 miles, jobs a good 'un.

Its a big can of worms though, with arguements for both 'my way' and sticking to rev limits.

So i probably haven't helped at all have i.

Well the reason I'm not keen on sticking to certain revs, is I have no rev counter...
Also, my bike is only 1.8hp... is it really wise to be going around on public roads half throttling?

I guess I'm hoping for some guy to come along and FINALLY have a miracle procedure for this =P

Is there any chance that you're looking for someone to tell you it's OK to rag it, because you don't have any choice?

It's OK to rag it!

On and off the throttle hard for 20 miles, oil change, ride as normal (i.e. full throttle everywhere).

HAHA! RAG IT I SHALL! Twisted Evil

I wonder if she'll run a little sweeter now she doesnt have 2 piston rings and 8 pieces of ring, letting oil into the combustion chamber and losing compression....
She was capable of 32 before...
Not expecting miracles... but maybe a bit of extra pull
