Hi there guys im new to this forum and i thought this would be the best palce to ask seeing as i would get some expert advice, basically iam going to invest in a 400£ gilera dna 125 cc and im going to make it a little project of mine.

Basicalyl i do not like the size of the bike so iam wondering whether i could raise it, also i was wondering if i could get bigger fairings to install onto the bike and lastly i want to remove the headlight and replace it with one of the yamaha or aprilia models

i know that fairings will not initially fit but i have and know alot of people with the know how to cut down, mould it into shape so it does fit as anything is possible with a bit of know how.

I was just wondering if all of this is doable as i am getting conflicting views from other people

Any help is appreciated

Its doable. Im not sure why you would want too, but it is. Just remember that (And yes, im quoting MarJay here) 'Bikes aren't like lego, you cant take one part from one and easily fit it too another'.

Why don't you just go out and get a bigger bike? You can pour money into a dna 125 but at the end of the day, its still a dna 125.

ditto

You only have to look at the streetfighters on ebay and you'll soon realise that unless your fabrication skills are superb or you have bottlemless pockets you will end up with a bike that looks like a P.O.C

Why not have a look at 125 supermoto style bikes. i have seen a lot of modern ones recently and they look really trick.

Its a lot easier/cheaper to personalize/modify a scrambler aswell as replacement panels are cheap, for the sort of money your talking you could get yourself an older KMX which could be made to look quite nice
