Hey, I went to Cornwall by bike last year and went to the usual places like Lands End...
Camped at Trevedra camp site which is at sennen cove just north of Lands end. Was quite nice and short walk to the coves/beaches etc. Then rode up the coast stopping at various places like Boscastle, Tintagel etc.
This year I went to St Ives in the car and had a great time, stayed at Polmanter touring park, was a very good campsite at a reasonable price, really enjoyed it...
Lots of attractions to go to as well but we found that they were quite expensive and most attractions are aimed at families/kids. ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

Cant comment on camping but I went to Cornwall last year on the bikes,
We stayed at Torpoint - Looe Harbour was very nice, I went back a few times, Gorgeous village with top food and pubs - I loved Polperro as well ( we was around that area )
Went to Torquey once, its nice - looks like it could be a bit wild at night, but still worth a visit.
Did a few other visits, Bodmin Jail was pretty cool - We took a tour to Eden Project, altho expensive its not so bad - and dont wear leathers inside . Bad bad choise. |

Cornwall is lovely, but really varies from place to place.
I'm from across the border so to speak, so i suspect my view is jaded, but from my experiences:
The holiday towns (Newquay mostly) have the noise, alcohol, students, and holiday makers. That said, top beaches, pretty harbour, and more than enough to keep you busy.
Redruth, Cambourne, etc are not so inviting to the holiday maker, and a bit "local" really - some dingy areas, but even they have their charms if you're willing to look (Check out Carn Brea Castle restaurant for example)
Looe, Falmouth, Padstow, St Ives, Porthleven, all really pretty places, fair few good eateries, and more than enough to see, no night life really though.
So depends what you want really. When we go, we tend to head for places like the Minnack Theatre, Keneggy Sands, The Cornish Cider Farm, etc, and as long as you dont go in real holiday season you will often find a lot of the smaller roads quiet and great to ride.
Visit on a sunny bank holiday weekend, and you will be visiting a very different place though!lol!
