Hi im just doing a little review on the Hyosung GT125R, i have seen alot of people looking to buy a hyosung due to it size, the Hyosung GT class has 3 models GT125R, GT250 and GT650R you would think the 650 is much bigger then the 125 in fact its the same size the only difference is the frame is stronger and slightly different to the GT125R the bike dimemtions are the same. also Hyosung the company are a sister company of suzuki they supply alot of there parts.

Anyway thats a little bit of the good points for people that dont know about HYosung and there GT range.

I have been riding for about 15 months so kinda new to bikes i have always had cheap bikes round the £600 mark so they have never been to good it got to a point where i needed something more reliable as i use it for work i went down to a motorbikw show room near where i live they just had the Hyosung bikes brought in i was shocked by the pure size of the 125, there about £3000 new but i went and had a look on Ebay and found one for £1800 i fel in love with it and paid for it its a Hyosung GT126R 06 all in red (See Pics) and at the time only had 1600 miles on the clock (Not bad for 06 model) i was very happy with the bike i just hoped i would not have any problems with it the second i got on the bike it just felt real nice and when riding it i new right there this bike will last a long time. 2 days after buying the bike i went to see my sister who live 190 miles away from me thats a long trip on a bike but i went the ride down was awsome the bike will go 70mph under the redline easy (About 85 down a hill) it got me there and back no problems at all.

So here we are today i still have the bike 5000 miles on the clock now and had no problems at all i would so to anyone that is looking to have a GT its worth it in my eyes anyway.

I think hyosung as a company will be very big soon to come as i see more and more people riding them and i have never heard a bad coments about them.

I absolutely love mine, it handles alot better if you change the tyres on it also, as the original items are shockingly bob in the wet, changed mine to Dunlop Sportsmax jobbies. Only real problems ive had is starting problems when it got wet after a torrential downpour. But other than that its been ace.

I've got the gt125 (naked, no r) and have had no problems in the last thousand or so miles. I've really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone. It's the sheer size that's my favourite aspect, i really didn't want to feel like complete tw@t as a 6 footer on a tiny little bike ( kept hitting my knees on the cg's bars on my cbt).

Even with ~13 stone and no faring it'll reach 70 on the flat. Only problem I've had are a lack of power if it's not warmed up properly.

I got one of those also, the 250 version, not a bad ride for the bucks.

The other possibly handy thing about the Hyosung is the frame, the reason it's so big compared to other 125's is the frame is exactly the same as the GS500 and the GT125R has the same forks as the 250 along with the mounting point for the oposing side calliper and it apears the front wheel has a round cap over the mounting points on the wheel for the Brake disk, so easy twin front disk conversion it would seem..

This is a bike I'm seriously looking at (after some serious saving) as the ideal learner bike..

I have wanted a GTR since I seen them brand new in a show room. Why are you shocked? I have had many styles of bike I just prefer the race type. I have bought to many stupid cruisers and they are so not me. I love the hyosung. Noticed it didnt hurt my hands like the RS did. The GTR takes me places not me taking it.

07 and cost 2k in the dealers . One previous owner who put a nice blue flame exhaust on it. Sounds really good. Was out on it tonight and no matter how much I feel like not going out sometimes soon as I get on it I do want to be out. I have had yams and honda before, where falling to bits and crappy looking. This is easy on the eye. Also petrol lasts for ages in mine !

It took me 3 years to get one and that was the first time apart from the show room brand new one I saw for sale. I know no one else personally apart that has one of these and it gets looks. Fits in with the crowds and dosnt look to 125ish. I havnt looked for parts, I hope not to but dealers here did sell them so I assume they will get parts.

You paid £174?

Apparently my bike is heavier than the CBR which is sitting beside it in one of my pics above. Shocked I didnt test it as I didnt fancy dropping my mates CBR.
Good insurance warped! My other half paid about that on an RS and he is 28 Confused I always pay between £50-£70 for any bike.

Similar but not the same... The gusset near the stem is different, top bars at a different angle, the upright where the pegs go is different and others. It's a design copy but by no means the same...
