Yellow Dukes are the only way to go!

No, no, no!

The 748(9)'s should be yellow. The 9xx's should be red!

Everyone knows that!

Nice bike there - but be carful TL1000 have a reputation for damaging their riders due to the frame not being up to the power - don't forget to check the steering damper Laughing

I have to admit to being a fan of the TL1000 engine (hence the V raptor) and the sound is very satisfying!

Thats the S model MrsH, the R is meant to be OK. although it still does have a dodgy rotary rear damper. Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Yes, i agree a 748/9 'should' officially be yellow...BUT ...
If a poll went up on here, i bet the majority would want a red one!

Like a Kawasaki...just because they're naturally illuminous green...that does not necessarily make them "nice"!!

However some quick googling finds a Ducati UK forum thing, where there is 635 posts in general chat, and 666 in the techincal help section for the 998/996/916/748.

But thats beacuse its actaully a 'more mature site', which isnt packed full of spotty 16 year old scooter boys spamming all the time!! Razz

Totally useless fact for you.

All Dukes start out life red! allegidely

Chipped the front mud guard on mine several months ago, nearly died when there in front of my eyes was the colour red!

Called Duke UK who confirmed the majority are originally painted red in order to keep production costs down then "Yellowed" as required.

I am sure the guy was on the wind up?
