How many miles on it and what did it cost you? Always had a yen for one of those myself. Certainly a good foundation for some serious mods without harming the look. Thumbs Up

That's bloody cool. I'm a confirmed Suzuki fan but I'd swap that for my '04 Bandit without a thought. Should be worth quite a lot of money restored.

cheers guys Smile

well i have had the 1st of the bugs - clutch woes !!

i lost the clutch as i was loping along t'other day, thinking the cable had snapped i carried on and managed to get back to base,
clutch cable was fine so i checked the adjuster on the sprocket cover and bingo - it had loads of play so thinking i had it sussed i re-adjusted that and went out for a test.................. half a mile later i had no clutch again, only this time i also had an unpleasant noise coming from the clutch - time for a peek inside.....

https://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t78/71bugslug/jim/DSCF3207.jpg

ahhhhhh i see, which led me to..........

https://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t78/71bugslug/jim/DSCF3209.jpg

so, all my 'adjusting' was just compensating for the clutch falling off Laughing
the previous owner did say he had fitted an up-rated clutch, he didnt say he hadnt fully tightened it all back up though Laughing

still, easily fixed and back on the road, here it is as of yesterday..

You're still a Bastard...

There were a few at the NADB last week, the Missus moved me on right as I was about to drop me leathers and have a wank, Bitch, I must have stood there for about twenty minutes just staring at it, I think the owner was a little uncomfortable as I never spoke...

NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
R1's JUST an R1...
Every clown and his dog has one, and they are nothing special.
Even in twenty years they wont be anything special.
That Lawson Rep was something special when new, and something VERY special right now, and in twenty years it will only be even MORE special!

Why on earth would you chase a bike like that for 16 years then, when you get it, swap it for some piece of crap you can buy any time you like? Confused

Then I suggest you sell the Lawson, you won't have any shortage of takers and it's probably worth more then the R1.
