What you reckon?

C6h is the last of the 636's, but to be honest there's not really much price difference between the three.

P7/8 are the same as far as I know. It's a better bike but has less mid range than the 636. Why not just go for the 2009/10 model?

636 everytime. Much better road bike than the P (in my opinion)

Or - the easy way to decide. Look at them both from the front. One looks awesome, the other has little squinty nasty eyes.

Buy the 636 and you'll be a very happy bunny - when I had mine I rode a P7 and felt seriously underwhelmed.

C1H and C6F are essentially the same. They added a different screen to the C6F.

So far I have found my C6F to be a brilliant road bike. There is a lot of mid range compared to other 600's I've ridden. It felt a lot quicker than the RR5 and k7 GSXR600 I tried before it. I know it probably was fairly equal but the mid range made it feel more powerful through the range. The suspension is also very good. It's also quicker than the 07/08 ninjas that succeeded it. The brakes are very good, but not the best. They're radials though and can be swapped with some very good ones (07 6r nissins) easily and cheap. Slipper clutch. Great fairings.

Faults... the mirrors are useless, only one light works on dipped, it eats rear tyres, it wants to wheely off lights and powering out of corners, and shakes it head doing so and that extra 37cc will put your tax up an extra £21 a year.

Wants to wheelie off lights and out of corners? Sounds like my kind of bike! Laughing

Cheers rowey, should I just get the best c6f with the best extras I can find? What would you recommend to look for apart from rear hugger and a can?

Hey,

You put down power as you are banked over, as the bike begins to come out of the lean, you put down more power and you can get it to wheelie whilst still leaning. It's one of those things that when it happens you feel like some kind of riding deity.

You see it a lot on BSB where they don't have the electronic aids of MotoGP etc.

HTH! Thumbs Up.

C1H or C6F, they're essentially the same.

Pipes can be pretty pricey for them so if you can get one thrown in, all the better. A double bubble is essential and a steering dampener is a good addition. Anything else and you're better off spending the money on good tyres and a suspension service/set up.

Maybe the second time. The first time it happens you have to change your pants.

Cheers guys, I'll get the newest C6F I can find in the nicest condition with FSH and low mileage and a can and a double bubble screen and hopefully a steering damper and a carbon rear hugger Laughing

Wish me luck, should get it in the next seven days.

I do put power down when banked over but always weary of the rear slipping out.

I will put MOAR power down Thumbs Up Cool.

Hey,

Glad to hear, you'd be surprised how much power a roadgoing sports tyre from the main manufacturers can handle. I can be leant pretty far over on the GSXR and accelerate hard enough to wheelie without even a squirm from the rear and I use BT-015s.

Of course if you want long tyre life and stability, it's not something you wish to be doing often. Laughing!
