Had a crash the other day, engine still runs fine.

I hear nothing at tickover but when I rev it I hear a rattling that seems to come from the right hand side of the engine.

What could it be and is the bike okay to ride about 40 miles to my house where my tools are situated? I plan to be stripping the bike down slightly to repair it on tuesday so can mess with the CCT if need be.

Many thanks

Benson

Exhaust take a hit at all? Might be that the header is blowing and needs tightening down (mine is doing it after the crash I had).

If the rattle is loudest somewhere between 5-6krpm then it is probably the CCT. It sounds like chains or bolts being shaken in a saucepan, mine was loudest normally around 5.5k and louder when coming down to 5.5 than when going up to 5.5.
