hi all i own a mk1 bandit 12 it starts fine and idles and revs but when i ride it any rev below 5k its ok but any think over it feels like its running low on fuel i put 10 quid of fresh petrol still the same any ideas

drain the float bowls, sounds like you have some water in your carbies.

look on the bottom of the carburettors for a little allen head bolt, loosen this off and it will allow the fuel to drain from the carbs along with the water.

once thats done, tighten them all back up again and put the fuel tap to the prime position for a few seconds, then back to on. take bike for a spin and see if it runs better.
