Damn, that is annoying but I had assumed as much, water does seem to sit on top of it rather than soak into it IYKWIM.
I was hoping that after a few days or so and it had got a bit dirty that it would be ok.

Can depend on which tarmac is used. Some stuff can have uptp 10% bitumen in it. That's alot of oil so could take months instead of weeks to wear in. (Highly dependant on weather and usage) Dry, it will offer decent grip, any moisture and it won't The best stuff has a low bitumen content, uses special fibres and has latex additives...If only it was used more on minor roads. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud
