hello all new to the bike scene well scooter really, i have an ay50 dare i add the katana title ,not so sure, i am after a way to identify which engine i have as i believe there are 2 types a morini and another not sure of a name , i am after a cylinder kit but noticed that they either list one for just a katana lc or a morini engine . hope someone can shed some light on it for me thanks in advance

There are 3 Different types of AY50 Katana/Engine.

AY50 Air Cooled
AY50 Liquid Cooled
AY50 Liquid Cooled injection which is 04+

So you should easily be able to work out which one you have, all AY50's 04+ are LC injection. if yours is -04 then its just a standard liquid cooled.

i have been on that page, and thanks for reply , i know mine is standard lc but if thats all i have to go by then what is a franco morini based engine , as they list different kits for a suzuki based engine katana , to a franco morini based engine
