I like to use my bike in ALL weathers... but as we all know, using a bike in all weathers has an adverse effect on bodywork.
I'm an avid detailer at heart, be it on a budget.

I'm currently after a durable hard wax (The tinned stuff, not liquid wax) for my bike, as original turtle-wax "Hard shell shine" is okay for its price, but I'm after something with a little more durability and protection. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Have a look at the Meguairs website. There solid waxes are ok for the money. I used it on the car near the end of last year and the car is just needing another polish/wax now after our harsh winter.

I use it on the bike as well but with the car I usually clay bar the car, polish and wax it. Lasts well so would recommend it...

Most of the meguires stuff seems to be solely for detailing and appearance rather than protection. my emphasis is on protection with it being a 39 year old frame and paintwork
