Decided to part with my R1 and go down the cruiser route again.
Had a Harley Sportster before...didnt rate it much
and had a Drag Star year ago..enjoyed that but needed alot of work to do to it.
Finally found an absolute MINT condition R1..but here we go again..

Think i just enjoy owning different bikes..
really like the look of the Kawasaki VN cruisers..cant really justify a new one...must say the 2011 vn900 spec classic looks great..paintwork is awesome..

i just like a naked bike...none of the saddlebags and crap..

Budget going to be around £5000- £6k i guess
Cant decide which to go for. i like the look of the chunky vn900 classic but not sure to go for a bigger engine one..
Of course this pushes the money up..
The mean streak 1500/1600 ???

Has anyone had any experience with these.. whats the best engine, year model to go for??
and whats best to avoid??

Thnx Fishy Pete

Forget kwaks, you don't want chain drive on a cruiser.

Try and find one of these, it's the best looking cruiser Japan ever produced (Yamaha XV1600 Wildstar):

What about Kawasaki's W650, not quite a cruiser but still might be worth a look, they stopped making that model just under 10 years ago but you can still find a few, relaunched it recently as the W800 which is almost identical barring more cubes and loss of kickstart. Very nice looking classic imitate without the crappy reliability issues.
