Taking all aspects into consideration: sexual prime, fittest, best looking, etc.

Just wondering what age you all think you are in your prime at?

And have you reached this age yet (or indeed have already past it) ?

I have yet to be convinced that the status of 'prime' can be applied to myself.

They are not half empty or half full. Merely incorrectly specified.

As to prime, is that relative to myself at other ages or relative to others. Relative to myself crap or more crap is still crap.

All the best

Physically, I was at my prime about 3 years ago just before I stopped playing rugby - for fitness. Physical prowess? I'm infinitely stronger right now than I was 3 years ago. And just about as fast.

Mentally, I'm at my prime now, I've never felt more intelligent or quick witted.

I've still got a fair amount to go, though definitely got that feeling that I'm gaining information at a steadier rate than I used to. Same applies to fitness, got plenty more to get from this body.

Financially? I earn the most I've ever earnt and am still on an upward slant, got more to go there too, realistically.

Socially? Plenty more to go but not so much part of the lads these last few months, and more wanting to share a more intimate time with the girl I've been head over heels for since I was 16 - despite the issues we've had the past few years.

Overall? I reckon if I don't get out more and keep on doing more shit now, I'll regret it soon. And I'm known for never regretting anything Wink

I'm 22. Yeaaaaah, bet you all thought I was 30ish.

I believe the general concensus is that you're in your prime then/soon - never now Laughing

Way past that for me. I reckon i peaked at 16. Although the decline hasnt been landslide like, more a slow/gradual decline.

Strongest and fittest was late 40s, early 50s. Earning the most money then too.

Illness and injury slowed me right down for the last 7 years. Not doing that bad considering, but it's hard going when the best days are behind you.

Make the most of it while you can.

I'd say physically and mentally mid 20's.

Looks is a hard one as everybody is different.
For me Women seem to go downhill at about 30, although of course not all of them.
Probably slightly later for a man. Women are always saying they want a man not a boy, so maybe the slightly weathered look is a good one.
Most men are basically looking for a girl that looks 18.

What seems to change the most is what women are looking for in a guy.
As a teenager its all about being in with the cool kids, the hot girls will want to be with the school hard man or his close friends. It doesn't matter that he's thick as shit and looks like Sloth from the goonies. Its all about being in with the right crowd.

In her 20's the hot girl will have new work friends and be going out a lot so Sloth is no longer a good look. She'll now only be interested in looks so will go for the hottest looking guy she can get. Somebody that basically looks like a 6ft tall Justin Bieber with zero personality, that isn't important though as most conversations are limited to a 5 minute introduction at a party or in a bar.

In her 30's she will be going out less so pretty boy is no longer so important, also the fact that he has a dead end job and they have to scrape the rent together every month is getting annoying. Now the hot girl will be looking for security which comes with money. She will probably have to drop her standards a little and end up with a balding fat man but a 5 bedroom house and a 4x4 are the priorities now.

Mmm, that's a bit... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d5/Pedobear.png

Still, at least it's vaguely comprehensible. I once worked for a guy who published a book on project management that contained graphs with one axis labelled, and another where the "uncertainty" axis went negative. Slow hand-clap.

Anyway, the wife is 40 and getting dirtier all the time, and I'm 39 and thinking that I need to outsource some of my marital duties. Changing fuses, evicting spiders, that sort of thing. Shifty

IIRC, a program on Radio 4 suggested that for males it was 32, I can't even remember being 32! Sad
Come to that, I can't remember where I left my pipe and slippers! Wink

That male / female libido thing is coloured by the fact that often couple get with someone with similar age. Women's looks goes quicker, so the guy in his 40s who seems to have a low libido when it comes to his 40 year old wife, might have dramatic recovery in libido if he switched to a younger one.

Women get more randy as their eggs are approaching their sell by date as they are more in need of getting what little they have left fertilised, or at least that's the way they are programmed.

I reckon I'm a bit of an underachiever, but I was probably in my prime in late twenties to early thirties, however, I'm hoping for a late bloom where everything comes together. Life isn't quite on track, but I'm hoping for a last minute equaliser.

Worst move for a friend of mine, was him marrying a woman who was just past her prime, when he hadnt reached his. He's now in his prime and stuck with one who is way past hers. It's all about timing. She got hers spot on.

If the glass is being filled up it is half full, if a glass is being emptied it is half empty.
