Hi All,

I have a Honda h100 that i bought for £50 running but needed a few bits doing. mostly cosmetic. I am fixing this up with my boyfriend so we could go ride together,

Unfortunately it was stolen weds night sometime, not sure why as it was under cover in the back garden with no exhaust, chain or sprockets, panels missing and rear lights and the suspension wasn't bolted on properly,

We have since found this dumped in a local field, they have ripped the battery out, smashed the clocks and lights and generally made a mess of the wiring,

having spent about £100 on parts so far do you thing it is going to be worth continuing with this project or will this be more hassle and money then its worth?

and also if i can't find 2nd hand parts are there any other bike that the parts will fit? no sure in the age but here is a progress pic

thanks for reading

Tracy

Hi

It is difficult to say.

Headlight is easy as there are cheap generic ones on Ebay that should do the job.

Clocks are more difficult (I am looking for a decent set).

Might be worth finding another H100 and making one from the pair.

All the best

Keith

I know it`s bit late to make such a remark but why was`nt it locked/chained up ?

on the other hand H100`s are fairly cheap for bits.

no point in progressing any further and paying out for new/second hand parts if you`re not going to lock it up.

Pepperami were kicking ourselves for that,

the thieves have gone to great lengths to steal half a bike, which took us 3 people to get into the back garden to be worked on in the first place. don't worry lesson learnt, but if it was the same guys who stole my bike 2 months ago the chain would not have caused them problems as mine was locked up,

i have looked on ebay and the bits we need are there for a reasonable price but struggling to find clocks, would a cg125 set fit without too much hassle?

I'll give the chap a ring to see what he can do Smile

thanks both x

I dont know about the rev-counter?, but you may find that the speedo cable fittings are the same.
look at the hub and the end of the speedo cable?
I think they have the same size wheels? possibly? maybe? I think? so it should be ok.
Many many many Honda parts are generic and will fit a host of different models.

My CG is so old it does`nt have rev-counter, it`s only got the speedo Smile

other models that may? have interchangable parts would be
MT50, MBA50, CB125, CB125twin, C90, ect ect.

I once put a set of CG125 clocks on an H100.

They worked.

Thats nothing I had someone steal half a GS500, it had no...

Lights
Clocks
Carbs
Brakes
rear suspention
Indicators
gear lever
body work
The bars where really loose and the engine was seized.

It wan;t even a rolling chassis as the rear wheel would touch the subframe if it wasn;t on the stand.

I would have been happy if they never brough it back the police found it within 30mins! I wish they hadn't

Later sold the bike on EGay for £22 Laughing

Why on earth did someone trying to nick half an H100? I wouldn't have an immaculate one if someone begged me to take it away for nothing Laughing Though admittedly I am emotionally scarred by my one (horrific!) encounter with this model Confused Laughing

If money has already been spent then you might as well keep going. Bits can be had extremely cheaply if you look around (H100 engines are fragile, so there are lots bikes about with knackered motors but reasonable cycle parts).

the bike was taken from Wrexham, we think it was stolen by the same people who stole a gn 125 we had a couple of months ago, they both went down for it and are due for release about now

possibly a revenge as we sent them down, luckily someone filmed them riding the GN as they are sick of stolen bike being ridden on the local fields.

engines aren't a problem as the one on the bike has has a recent rebuild and we have 2 spare in the shed

think were going to stick with it just for the experience too as its out first fixer.

not going to get another until we move house now though, gutted as i passed my test a few weeks back

Thanks

Tracy
