today i saw bike and couldnt see any markings on it,
i'll try an describe as best i can,
it looked kind of like a old shape speed triple, late 80's early 90's
it was a triple but was air cooled
it looked to be an ohc but possibly a dohc motor
steel frame, 3 into 1 exhaust exiting on the left side

at first i thought it was an yamaha xs, but i could find any thing that matched in my quick browse

any guesses?

Even though it is an ideal motor layout, there have been very few triples actually made.
To my knowlege:
Triumph/BSA 1969 - mid 70's
Yamaha 750 / 850 late 70's
Hinkley Triumphs 1991 onwards
Various Benellis 1999 -

Cant think of any others, and the only aircooled that matches would have to be the Yamaha.

nah wasn't the laverda
it kind of looked like this

https://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2008%5C03%5C21%5Cbikepics-1224738-full.jpg

but the exhaust was more prominent and it and it angled away from the center of the bike towards the side well before it went under the engine (it sort of ran beside the bottom of the engine)

i'll have a look at the bsa's for some reason that sort of rings a bell (past memorys)

not a 2 stroke, naked

may be it was the triumph x75 hurricane
https://www.bikeexif.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/triumph_x-75_hurricane.jpg

but with a 3 to 1 exhaust, the shape of the bike seems very similar,

any other bikes out there that look similar??

Didn't Triumph own another Marque at the time, like BSA or something? The bikes were almost identical but with subtle differences and different badges?

{edit} Yes, the BSA Rocket III /Triumph Trident. {edit}

Can only think of the ones above as far as aircooled triples go.

My k75 is a triple but is hard to mistake for anything else.
