I'm looking at purchasing a K Reg Diversion 600.

It has 50k on the clocks and what has been described as 'typical clutch basket rattle'

Now, before it's said: I HAVE googled it and quite frankly I don't know what to make of what I've read...

...Will it eventually damage the bike? Is it anything to worry about? I've gathered it's a common issue with Divvy's but is it reason enough to not go ahead and buy this bike?

I'm just abit paranoid about parting with my hard earned if this is going to cause me issues in the future...

Many thanks in advance guys!

Cheers,

Steve.

Better look for another bike. Doubt it will be a problem but the divvy600 is so underpowered you will be board with is verry soon. Unless you are getting it cheap as chips. Lots of better 600s out there, Infact a few 500 twins are better bikes.

As long as its the clutch I'd not worry as they are all like that, most aircooled 4s rattle a bit. May need the camchain and tensioner looking at at that mileage as.

50k isn't megamileage as long as its been cared for.

My Fazer is exactly the same.

It's an early yammy thing. It can be reduced by a carb balance.

Best thing to do, go and look at it. If when you pull in the clutch the sound goes away, your good to go. If not then could be more serious.

+1 to this. My Divvy is exactly the same. There's a fix you can do if you're really bothered but it's not a serious problem.

Just check the general condition of the rest of the bike. That'll tell you how well it's been cared for. If it looks ok, and the only thing is the clutch rattle - you'll probably be ok.

Of course any purchase is made entirely at your own risk Very Happy
