New Incubus Album

So it came out on the 3rd of this month and before I had a chance to listen to it I was already told by two people that it was majorly lacking a lot of creativity and that wonderful mellow Incubus sound was gone. In fact it was mentioned to me that it was so distasteful that not only was it not worth the purchase, but they sounded like a bad Pearl Jam.

Being as I'd heard their first single 'Megalomaniac' and was quite pleased by it, I took those two opinions as a load of bollox. So off I went, downloaded the album and was disappointed so much that I deleted the whole thing, only to download it again to see if I could give it that second chance. Unfortunately I've now had enough time to "try" to get into it and still it's awful. I don't know what on Earth they were thinking. It has absolutely no depth and the lack of DJ Kilmore's presence just kills it.

At the end of the day my opinion is that it resembles that that comes out of a dogs anus.

I know what you mean, I got it the other day and was initially very disappointed. I was told it was gonna be a return to incubus in their 'science' days but if anything its even further away from that than morning view was. I've listened to it a bit more and a few tracks are growing on me, like the title track and pistola, and megalomaniac like you said, but overall its the worst album out of the five.
