My mate went into a car sidewards the other day and his brake lever is bent fairly badly, he's brought a new one and asked me to help him fit it.

I look the rear brake light spring off, the linkage to the back drum, the retaining (Not sure) spring that helps pull the level to a netural position and the split pin.

All that is left holding the level on is what looks to me as something simular to a gudeon pin, but its not hollow and has a slim hole through it at the ond end for a split pin, and the other side looks has a lip on it.

I've sat there for hours and hours trying to figure it out, It's been soaked with WD40, bolt penetrator, I've heated it up, and I've beat the living shit out of it with a lump hammer, but the thing does not want to come out!

I've checked it over and over for anymore retaining pins or circlips or anything of the sort but I can't find anything!

Anyone ever had experience with one of these or any other ideas?

Thanks, Louis.

There isnt a center stand on it, there are bracket to have one fitted, but it's not there.

I've never ever had something this siezed, it's wierd how it still freely moves upa dn down but it wont budge sidewards, a lump hammer and extrension bar aint good enough apperntly!

It's not threaded, its it? Would not be the first time a "pin" had flats or an allen key hole in it upon closer inspection...

As stated it's a friends bike, I don't have access to it at anytime but I'll try and get a picture for you.

Cheers, Louis.
