Hi guys, sorry to make this my first post i wish the circumstances were more joyful

Had my HOnda XLR 125 stolen from outside my house on saturday morning. During the hours of 9-11am. I had been working on it that morning and had gone up do to some bits around the house. i usually park it behind my van and move the van right up to it so it cant be taken out but this time the van was a foot or two forwards. didnt hear the bike start so must have been a van.
bike was taken from Headley Down, Hampshire.

have reported it stolen but i doubt it will show up on the road.

Hey,

Sorry to hear that your bike has been stolen, especially as it's your first post here, very negative circumstances!

With a bike like that, I'd suggest driving around the local fields and taking a look, back lanes and such places. It's the type of bike they'd have just pushed away to a local field, ragged the bollocks off of it until it ran out of petrol and then dump it.

I hope you get it back, but welcome to the forum and I hope you continue to post only in better circumstances.

Cheers!

yeah that was my first thought, however being the middle of nowhere there are hundreds of aces of forest and fields to look through. I have been doing that though on some of the more local woodlands.

im thinking it was a bit more organised then that maybe though as i had been away for a week working and left the bike behind the van, normally with my girlfriends car parked up next to the van so the bike is blocked from all sides (2 walls 2 vehicles).

also i had never even ridden the bike on roads round here, only bought it 2 weeks ago then went away to work! hadnt ven insured it yet so no hope of getting any money back Shocked our road is a small private cul-de-sac too and we are right at the end, only us and our immediate neighbours are down this end as there is no where to go from here. very fishy that it just so happend to go the one time my van was moved and my girlfriends car wasnt there.

I am getting a mate to phone up the person i bought it from to ask if its still for sale.. i lived in london for 20 years i know that scam all to well. not expecting to get anything on this though, its a long journey from london to here on the hope that the bike is unattended.

Sorry to hear about this mate

I +1 to Paulington, its the perfect bike for teens to take and just rag the pants off it.

Good Luck finding it and hope your time here brightens and you find yourself in better circumstances.

All the best

Sorry about the double post.

Also try posting this on other forums, the more people who know about it the better.

I've also seen ads on GumTree about stolen bikes, could be a thought?

Anything is a step forward mate, flyers (as you've done), old school poster on lamp posts and bus shelters. Ask any local shops if they can put up a flyer / poster in they're shop window.

Hope this helps and again good luck!

I'm sure we'll all keep an eye out for it. Let's hope for the best, miracles do sometimes happen.

Thanks for the words guys, keeping my chin up.

Heard nothing as of yet though.

Moving house in a few days too so not able to keep an eye out down the woods, guess its in the hands of the police now... Confused Not really holding my breath.. I've phoned them up and given them every single detail about the bike just incase they come across it without the numberplate on it (very likely) and the VIN number (not so likely) and also the hidden VIN stamp (very unlikely).

Really pisses me off though as I had only just bought the bike, hadn't even road it on the road yet! Was going down that morning to get the reg to insure it, as I hadn't yet, so no hope of ever getting any money back I guess.
