I am thinking of fitting an alarm to my Sukida 125 (CG clone).
Something like this or this. Just wondering if anybody had any experiences of either. I'm not going to install any auto start feature and am weary of using the immobiliser route to. I don't want anything that could possibly disable my bike just something that will make enough noise to stop any scrotes fiddling with or trying to nick my bike.

My bike isn't worth splashing out on a £300 alarm professionally fitted, and another factor is that I live in rural Cornwall where the crime rate is pretty low.

Just buy a disc lock with build in alarm.

Thumbs Up I recently picked up a Xena alarmed disk-lock off ebay for around £25, used them before and always been superb. Alarms annoying as hell! Goes off so quick sometimes its ringing in your ear hole before you've even got it off your disk with the keys! Hurts too! Laughing

xena disc lock alarm, i use one on my 2008 r6 thats parked outside the front of the house, chain on front wheel and disc lock on back, any movement and the xena goes off, great deterrent can be had for around £30 new on Amazon Wink

I'd rather run the risk of a bike getting nicked than have to sort the electrics out when the alarm inevitably goes tits up.

Won't have one on my bikes.

Another vote for the Xena alarms. I picked one up a while back, and then another when I lost that one (then found the day after I bought the new one!). As said above, they're a real pain trying to get them off without the alarm sounding, I always put both of them on the back wheel.

On Sunday I accidentally started riding with it on. CLUNK! Be very careful!

If you're going to use a disk lock, then buy a reminder cable for a couple of quid. It will save you alot more if you forget, and you probably will at some point.
