Just testing the water so to speak, anyone got any thoughts on this bike being developed in the US? Personally I'm keeping a close eye on it as I think the concept is pretty damn good but I've got a bad feeling it won't come over to Europe Sad !

I agree it's not exactly a looker, but do a search on youtube to hear its V4 engine. Sounds so good I can forgive its looks....

I like the looks and I especially like the engine layout.

If it was shown to be a worthy competitor to the jap tourers (in terms of performance, reliability, price and parts availability) then I could be tempted. As it happens though it is american so it will probably be slow, heavy and overpriced.

I read somewhere a couple of days ago it's expected to be around the $12000 mark (so just over £7000) if the price stays the same over here. Unfortunately my previous experience of products sold both sides of the pond is that it will probably be closer to 9 or 10 grand here. Assuming it even gets marketed over here...

There have been some comments on the videos about it looking rather slow. Certainly there are a couple of instances of the rider twisting the throttle all the way back and not a lot happening, which I have to agree is slightly worrying considering the engine is basically a small scale Detroit V8!

When it comes to getting absolutely no power out of a huge engine the Yanks are No.1, bet it only does about 20mpg as well.

Imagine dropping it though. With the zorsts at the side like that you'd be looking at a new set of downpipes every time it fell over.

With it being American then it will fall over every time it see's a corner.

Either that or it'll just smash your panniers to nothing.

It sounds fantastic, they reckon somewhere around 160bhp too which would be nice (it is a 1645cc engine though Shocked ). Also rather heavy at 227kg dry and uses OHV. Same sort of mentality as the VTR1000 firestorm I guess (big and torquey).

I'd certainly like to ride the naked version, as for parting with money for one - the jap competition is just so good it would take a hell of alot.

Hey,

I'd expect that to cost around £11999 over here, as thanks to the current economy manufacturers seem to forget that there is a conversion factor between currencies and just changes the currency symbol. Rolling Eyes.

Cheers!
