At the minute i'm listening to a lot of korn, slipknot, volbeat & rammstein.

Can anyone suggest any similar bands please?

Personally I really like Mastodon specifically the album 'Leviathan', Tool are good also.
If a bit less shouty more just heavy rock Turbowolf are quality.

Thumbs Up

Tool are really good, but some of there songs tend to go on forever. Breaking Benjamin are good if your into alternitive sort of stuff with a bit of screaming in every couple of songs.

Tool are a bit to slow for my liking, they definitely go on far too long, I love big guitar/drum tunes.

Breaking Benjamin are also a bit slow, way too slow infact but cheers for the suggestions Thumbs Up

Cus I was at the gig tonight Very Happy
We could not get tickets for the actual gig so we went to watch the choppers take off and listened to Wednesdays performance on ipods. My hat got blown off and Prue's bike sent flying by the downdraught and I smell nicely of Paraffin. The people with tickets did not see the choppers, get their hats blown off or get to smell of paraffin.

Richard Kruspe, the lead guitarist from Rammstein, is the guy behind the band. You can tell the Rammstein roots, not quite as heavy but it is pretty decent stuff.

Going back a few years, but both Down and Acid Bath* in particular are well worth a listen. As above Mastodon are excellent and most of Clutch's back catalogue is too. Earthtone9, Monster Magnet, Tool as above, Daughters, At The Drive In, These Arms are Snakes, Tomahawk, Twin Zero, Johnny Truant, the list is endless really...

Over the years I've gravitated towards heavier Electro stuff, and currently really enjoying Noisia which is heavier than most metal bands I've heard in recent years:

Have fun! Thumbs Up

*Download Paegan Terrorism Tactics rather than When the Kite String Pops if you prefer the less shouty stuff. And you can't really go wrong with NOLA by Down.

I don't know what it is with Black Label Society, I like them but I don't want to listen to them, again, too slow I think.

Amon Amarth are alright but not quite there.

Go back to classics. Less heavy than the stuff mentioned in OP but I love all that too.

The Who, for ultimate drums. The heavier Led Zep albums.
Soundgarden.
Dreamtheatre and Judas Priest.

O, and Disturbed. Love them - so much.

And if you want heavier than your listed, stuff like Dimmu Borgir and Anthrax.

Oh and also, +1 for Mastodon.
If you like them I would also rep Megadeth, and the harder Metallica stuff, like "Frantic" and "That Was Just Your Life"

I like megadeath, but when the lyrics start I cringe, it's terrible.

If you like Korn then you should like Primus, the band who influenced Korn... or who Korn shamelessly rip-off, depending on your point of view on these things.

So many artists don't bother with spotify though. Interesting nugget about spotify; the first song to make 1,000,000 listens was Poker Face by Lady Gaga. At the point it hit the million it had netted her £105 in royalties from the site.

Try Spineshank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUjYo-3B1rU
Also look up the album by Roadrunner United. It's an album compiled by artists all signed to Roadrunner records. So in one song you have A lead singer from one band, guitarist from another etc etc. So each song is different and unique. Members of Slipknot, Trivium, Machine Head, Devildriver, Opeth, Il Nino, Cradle Of Filth and other bands are all involved.

Rise Against have some great songs
Rise Against - Audience of One
Rise Against - Savior
Rise Against - Prayer of the Refugee
They also have some slower songs which are great
Rise Against - Swing Life Away (Acoustic Version)
There is also other ones like "Give it all" "Hero of War"

Skillet also have some good ones too!
Skillet - Alive and Awake
Skillet - Hero
Skillet - Monster

Something a bit heavier?
Why not try Sentenced or even Disturbed!

The early 90's Scandinavian stuff is the best though.
